Knowledge is Understanding

What would this life be without knowledge?  Knowledge is something we should have been able to live without.  If it had not been for the fall in the famous garden, our life would be completely without knowledge.  I'm sure we all know the history lesson.  Adam ate of the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  God had originally instructed Adam to not eat of that specific tree.  He was however able to eat from the Tree of Life.  Now isn't that interesting?  Now after that it tells us that after he ate the fruit, their eyes were then open.  And they knew at that point they were naked.  When God started looking for him, He asked "where are you?"  Adam then tells God where he is and why.  When reading that, we have to realize Adam is talking to Almighty God.  He already knew what Adam had done and knew at the exact moment when their eyes were opened.  He in fact was the One to open them.  He specifically gave that rule to Adam because He did not want us to depend on knowledge to have a relationship with Him.  The disobedience is evident and He comes face to face with what He knew would happen.  He applied the curse for their actions.  Now before the disobedient act, Adam had direct access to God.  Total open communication, He would come down and commune with Adam.  How do I know that?  In Genesis 3:8 it starts with, "and they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..."  How did they know what Him walking through the garden sounded like?  It was a familiar sound, and to top it off, they knew it was Him.  After the fall, they were kicked out of the garden, with their natural eyes open.  I say natural because they used to see with spiritual eyes.  How else could you not know you are naked.   When their natural eyes opened the spiritual eyes closed, and the complete direct access to God was broken.  They now saw everything naturally and not possible to see God spiritually.  Now that all this has happened, what then happens?  Children are born with natural eyesight, not connected to spiritual things.  The curse has automatically taken over which has caused mankind to not believe there is an Almighty God.  He no longer comes down to commune with them. The bible tells us to seek good knowledge, but why?  At this point all they know is evil.  How is that you ask?  The rich young ruler calls Jesus good in Matthew ch 19 and in the 17th verse Jesus responded to him: " So He said to him, "Why do you call me good?  No one is good but One, that is, God.  But if you want to enter life, keep the commandments."  So if God is not coming down to share His goodness, then there is only evil, there is no in between.  So in retrospect, because of that tree, we have to seek good.  We have to seek God to know good, He is the only One with the knowledge of good to give.  If you don't want to know Him, that means you don't want to know good at all.  He is not going to force you, that will be up to you.  If not, evil will be your way of life, and the end of that road is destruction.  Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man,But its end is the way of death.  There are multiple scriptures about knowledge that are all very important.  Here are a couple:
Proverbs 9:10  “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,And the knowledge of the   Holy One is understanding.
Romans 1:28-32  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things that are not fitting, being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful, who, knowing the righteous judgement of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
This Romans scripture is very scary to me.  I do want and pray that I will never be found there.  Other profound scriptures are:
Deuteronomy 30:15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,
2 Peter 1:2-4  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

To my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.  I pray this finds who it is intended for, and the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to the knowledge of God Almighty, The Alpha and Omega, El Elyon - The Most High God -- for your souls.  Again, do not take my word for it.  Seek God for yourselves and He will give you good truth!
